Van's describes the -7 as "Fast. Cool. Fun. One Serious Flying Machine". It's difficult to argue otherwise. Unlike its predecessor, the RV-7 is a genuine tourer, with its predecessors responsiveness, room for two 6' tall adults seated side-by-side in comfort, stability at low speeds and 45kg of luggage allowance. It would be just as easy to suggest that the -7 is one of the most versatile, enjoyable single-engined aircraft ever designed.
This almost new aircraft has been meticulously crafted and painted. And flight-testing has proven that it's just that smidge faster than the average -7. Fitted with a Condor 2 tailwheel assembly ('steerable'), sliding canopy, Dynon and Garmin full glass cockpit, CSU propeller and all the electrics, it is the perfect 175kt TAS (8000') VFR tourer for the RPL/ PPL pilot looking for a step-up in both class and performance.
