Kitplanes magazine described the KR-2 as "tremendous fun", noting the "quick, spirited takeoff", and "sleek, 2-place Volkswagen performance". Designed in the 1970's by Ken Rand, and with kits available today, it remains a popular amateur-built option at an affordable overall cost.
This aircraft has been improved since it was last sold a few years ago - and flies regularly. Fitted with a Bolly 3-blade 60" propeller, Garmin 296 GPS and a RAM Mini iPad mount and 80 litre fuel capacity, it's an economical cruiser at 115-120kts IAS at 15 LPH, with 252kg payload.
