The AA-1B was produced until 1976 after Grumman bought American Aviation. It offers a reliable Lycoming O-235-C2C low-compression engine, docile flight characteristics in the stall and sturdy design; a perfect ab-initio trainer or personal hour-builder.
This extremely low-time aircraft has been well-maintained and offers new exhaust, exhaust clamps and carburettor shroud, a new digital tacho, FS450 computer, LED landing lights and a host of extras for the sale. The very tidy panel includes a D3 EFIS, Garmin GPS Map 196 (as part of included extras package), ADF and Garmin transponder. This is a perfect aircraft for the recently licensed pilot or recreational pilot.
New works completed: New mixture cable, directional gyro fixed, RH main wheel outer bearings replaced, LH brake lining and O ring in calliper replaced, nose landing gear corrosion treated, 2 rudder cables replaced, LH elevator delamination fixed, elevator trim tab bush and plate, and trim tab shear plate replaced, elevator outer bearings replaced, aileron outer bearings replaced, horizontal centre splice plate repaired.
