The M20J was named 201 because it flies at 201MPH top speed in level flight. Fast, comfortable, docile and reliable - it was a big seller in the mid-late 1970's, against its larger Piper, Cessna and Beechcraft competitors. With 242 litres fuel capacity, and the speed of a more powerful engine, the economy and styling is desirable even by today's modern standards.
This aircraft is offered to the market with very low engine times (O/H 2011), freshly overhauled propeller and fresh annual (January 2025). The interior and exterior condition is excellent (it has been hangared last 28 years). A suite of quality, mainly traditional avionics - including a digital EDM 700 EMS - completes the package, suitable for either the RLP/PPL pilot looking for a fast, economical 4-place tourer - or as a fast, comfortable business commuter.
