Mooney M20J 201
In 1974 a team was assembled at Mooney, under the direction of ex-Grumman American engineer Roy LoPresti to improve the speed of the M20F. The M20J was introduced in July 1976 and it was known as the Mooney 201 because it was capable of 201 miles per hour! The 201 was a big seller - and remains one of the most popular Mooney models today for it's speed, fuel efficiency and handling.
