Jabiru J-170C
Aircraft description
The J-170 was developed with the flying schools in hotter climates in mind. It is the J-160 with the longer wings of the J230 and a larger elevator. The longer wings allow it to climb faster in hot conditions, with excellent glide performance. The 100 knot TAS cruise speed is still easily achievable at 2900 RPM. A perfect trainer, local aircraft or cross-country tourer, with 5 + hours endurance.
This beautifully presented and maintained aircraft has just had a comprehensive Jabiru 1000 hour overhaul (approx. $9000), professionally completed in accordance with Jabiru (JEM0001-23). Other improvements completed over the last 18 months, include a new Garmin G5 EFIS, new Trig TT22 transponder, new 2.25" VSI, new LED landing light, Jabiru cold start kit, new higher amp. battery, new scimitar composite prop (at 500hrs), new set of engine mount rubbers, rebuilt starter motor, new voltage regulator, 3 new tyres, new brakes, new wheel bearings, full carburettor rebuild, new engine hoses, new intake baffle rubber seals.
A must-see aircraft that flies as well as it looks; perfect for an RAAus FTS, or RPC holder looking for a reliable mid-range tourer. Fresh annual completed 13/5/23.
