Certified in 1970 as an upgrade to the 33 and 36 Models, the A36 featured improved deluxe interior, a new fuel system, higher takeoff weight and redesigned instrument panel and controls. Over 2100 units were sold - until 2005 when the G36 was launched with upgraded avionics and wing. With a TAS of over 170kts at 8000 feet, beautifully solid feel, club configuration seating for six, and ample luggage capacity, the A36 was the 'go-to' luxury single tourer for over three decades - and remains competitive in today's second-hand market.
